What should be the normal length ratio between a person and his battling chinese long staff?

First of all, there is nothing sick to the question.

I want to learn Kung fu long staff fighting and for that I need a staff of the correct length. I am 66" tall. What should be the long staff length for a 66" person? I am leaning towards taller, but how much?

And what is the normal ratio? (I know I can calculate it from your length suggestion, but spare me the trouble).

Anyway, I guess I really need a kung fu expert for this one. Help me...

What should be the normal length ratio between a person and his battling chinese long staff?
There are two staff heights used in Kung Fu

Eye-brow height, which is commonly known as a bo staff or monkey staff.

The longer staff or spear is around 3 1/2 feet taller than the person using it. Take your arm and raise it over your head. The staff should be around a foot taller than the tip of your finger. Since you asked me to do the math for you, that would make it 108" for you.

Keep in mind that if you intend on using the staff in competition, you may be limited by the amount of space you have to work with. If the staff is too long, it could work against you.
Reply:i'm not 100% percent sure but i always make my own bo.i make it so the end touches the tip of my nose.and from memory a bo and a chinese staff are pretty simular.
Reply:what is a staff???

is it long stick fighting ?
